Description
Medical claims need to follow the ICD-10-CM updated coding guidelines in order to be submitted and considered for reimbursement. Nurses and HIM professionals in long term care play a key role in this process by providing accurate and complete documentation. Documentation is a critical component for determining accurate coding. Healthcare Academy’s ICD-10-CM coursework has been designed to help learners gain knowledge about common conditions found in long term care, ethical documentation and coding, and coding guidelines that are specific to ICD-10-CM. At the completion of this course a final coding exam will take place.
