Do your courses have pre-tests and post-tests?
All Healthcare academy courses have review questions at the end of each topic. These questions are then repeated in the post test that requires the learner to pass with a score of 85%. After successful completion the learner will have the opportunity to print a certificate.

How complicated is it to set up your system in our facility?
Healthcare Academy’s training is completely web based so there is no software installation necessary. All you need is a computer and an internet connection. You determine your staffs specific needs and then assign the lessons. We recommend one computer per 100 staff.

How much time does it take to complete one of your training modules?
Healthcare Academy lessons typically take 30 to 45 minutes. Some of our advanced clinical modules for nurses can take up to an hour.

How many computers do we need to train all of our employees?
Staff can access to lessons 24/7 at home or in a location with internet. A facility can train their staff with one to two computers for every 100 employees.

What if an employee doesn’t know how to use a computer?
Our lessons are user-friendly with easy-to-understand directions. No technical skills are required . We have found that even employees who have never used a mouse are able to learn to use our system after just a few minutes of coaching.

Can my employees earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?
Yes, we have modules that can be used by nursing home administrators (NHAs) and licensed nurses to fulfill education requirements.

How can I track my employees training?
Our Learning Management System (LMS) tracks real time activity and at any time, a report can be easily run to show the training history for a specific employee, training on a specific topic for the whole facility.

Instructor-led training, off-site seminars, and other learning experiences can also be entered into the system in order to provide a documentation for every employee.

How is your content developed?
Healthcare Academy works closely with experts whose knowledge and credentials cover a wide range of long-term care topics. Lessons offering continuing education credits contain pertinent information regarding experience, conflicts of interest and other continuing education requirements.

Can we have content customized?
Healthcare Academy’s custom authoring tool allows facilities to publish their own facility-based content via Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
