Judy Hoff, our Founder and CEO, used her experience as a nurse educator to build a successful business developing learning packages for nurses and other healthcare staff roles. That’s when she had the initial vision for the Healthcare Academy (HCA) online education platform. She wanted to give customers a way to access that same high-quality, self-paced learning she was developing and know they were always accessing the most updated content through an online platform. The idea that sparked also gave her the opportunity to work with her husband Ron, who had a computer science background, to make the vision come to life.
Today, Healthcare Academy offers comprehensive eLearning courses and digital competencies to help healthcare organizations improve and maintain the highest standards of care. Driven by customer needs, our products have advanced through the years. What remains consistent throughout our nearly 25 years in the industry is our commitment to quality, evidence-based content. And the daily presence of our family-rooted leadership team drives that quality and our unparalleled customer service experience. We live by our values and hire people that are committed to delivering against these values each day.

Commitment to Quality
At the forefront of our values is our commitment to quality in the product we deliver to our customers. Healthcare Academy is proud to be an accredited provider with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the credentialing arm of the American Nurses Association, and our long term care administration program is accredited by the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards, the national authority on licensing executives in long-term care. Healthcare Academy is a Pledge Partner with the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). Through this partnership, in October of 2020, we launched the AHCA/NCAL Infection Control Certificate Program and AHCA Requirements of Participation eCompetencies®. HCA is also a content provider with TRAIN.ORG, a national learning network that provides quality training opportunities for professionals who protect and improve the public’s health.
